A Worcestershire jazz club has enjoyed a successful start to its 2022 programme.
Malvern Jazz, Blues & Swing Club welcomed singing star Janice Williamson last month during a short break in her touring schedule.
Janice is now back on tour as the principal artist in the acclaimed production ‘Rush – a Jamaican Journey’ appearing at theatres throughout the UK.
The club is now preparing for the visit of the popular Washington Whirligig from Yorkshire.
Organiser Len Thwaites said: “It was great to have Janice with us, we feel so fortunate that she could fit us into her busy programme.
“Looking ahead to our next session, we’re delighted to bring Washington Whirligig to Malvern, as they are one of the top headlining acts at jazz festivals both here and abroad.
“They are a wonderfully entertaining band and play everything from early classic jazz right through to swinging mainstream.”
For this session on Sunday, February 6, doors open at 7pm, the band will play from 8pm to 10.30pm (including an interval) and admission is £10 cash on the door.
Jazz fans can head over to the club’s website www.malvernjazz.co.uk for more information and further details of all upcoming events.
