A NEW shop has opened in a Herefordshire village and its selling an array of groceries.

New owners Manisha and Aman Gaddu have officially opened their new shop called the Village Store in Cradley, near Ledbury, this week.

It is selling a range of everyday items such as dairy, meats, groceries, fruit and vegetables, snacks, confectionery, soft drinks, tobacco, alcohol, and lots more.

“Come and visit our beautifully presented shop offering everyday essentials,” they said.

The couple found the 18th century building during the Covid pandemic.

“It had a lot of character,” said Mr Gaddu.

It made sense for them to open a retail shop so they could provide for the community in the area.

This is their first time running a retail shop and are based in Worcestershire, so they will be looking for someone local to run the shop in the coming weeks.

“So far we have had good feedback,” he said.

The shop will open Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm and on Sunday 9am to 2pm.
