FRONTRUNNER, one of Ledburys' best loved and most popular bands are set to make a welcome return to the Main Stage at the towns Annual Carnival on August 29.

A five-piece group consisting of Lead Vocalist- Matt Williams, Jonathan Thomas on Keyboards and Percussion, Bass and Harmony from Leon Bateman and Guitar and Harmony from Andrew Crokey who were all born and raised in the town, with Irish born Drummer, Ben O'Connor who has lived in the town for the past 17 years,

Frontrunner are much in demand for many local large Events and Festivals and a tour de force for weddings and similar small functions.

Influenced by the best musicians of the last 40 years,( Queen, Led Zeppelin, Simple Minds among many other bands of the decades), Frontrunner will be entertaining visitors to Carnival with a hyper-active set, crisp harmonies, earth shattering drums, driving bass and professionally crafted guitar and symphonic keys which are sure to get everyone into a party mood.

If you are new to Ledbury, this 'must see' group cannot fail to please first-time visitors as they make a triumphant return to Carnival.

Frontrunner will be opening and closing the afternoons entertainment and will be supported by another local group, Band for Life.

Band for Life are also a Ledbury based group who, formed in 2019, will be making their first appearance at Carnival. A 12 piece group, already playing at local functions they have been busy in rehearsals under the guidance of founding member, David Kettle.

Band For Life are an 8 piece group formed shortly before lockdown.

Formed by David Kettle and consisting of 4 back line musicians and 4 singers 1 male, 3 female, who will perform an eclectic mix from the 60's and decades moving forward.

A Second Stage, in Bye Street Car Park, for Childrens Entertainment and as a quieter area for those who find it difficult to deal with large crowds and the hub-hub of the town centre will see Carol Lee Sampson and Don McClean, make a return appearance after a successful and popular appearance at Party in the Car Park last year at very short notice last year when the group originally booked had to pull out due to a member having Covid, will be making a welcome return in 2022.

The Second Stage will be shared with DJ Chris who will also be returning for another of his popular Childrens' Discos after the success of last Summer when toddlers to teens had a great time dancing to their favourite tunes.

Childrens' favourites, Joey the Juggler and Looby Lou, will be around the town ensuring a memorable time.
