Events are being planned to belatedly celebrate 20 years of Ledbury’s twinning with the town of Strömstad in Sweden.

The Ledbury Strömstad Twinning Association is also holding its AGM this month.

2020 marked 20 years of friendship between the two towns, but plans for anniversary celebrations had to be put on hold because of Covid.

With things finally getting back to normal, the association is making up for those postponements this year with two summer events planned.

On Saturday, June 25 a Smorgasbord Evening will be held at the Talbot Hotel, which has become the spiritual home of the association over the past two decades.

This will be a traditional evening of Swedish food and twinning culture, starting at 7.30pm.

A Swedish-style Midsummer Celebration will take place the following Saturday (July 2) between 2.30pm and 5pm at Ledbury Recreation Ground.
