Ledbury runners have had success at races in Dymock.

The popular annual Dymock races took place on Sunday, May 22.

For the first time, runners had the option to choose from the new five-mile race or the half marathon distance.

Both races started at the cricket club with the firing of the canon, and set off along the main street before quickly heading out the village and down quiet country lanes.

Both courses remain on road, and the hilly terrain plus the hot weather made each race quite challenging.

Runners from the Ledbury and District Harriers took on both distances, and it was great to have Couch to 5k graduates running in the five-mile race too.

Harriers were delighted to pick up a number of prizes in the shorter distance at the awards ceremony which followed the event.

Congratulations to David Bannister – 2nd place overall; Martin Williams – 3rd place overall; Neil Grinnell – 1st MV40.  Collectively, the trio also earnt themselves the 1st place team trophy too.
