SHOWCASE Cinema de Lux is giving football fans something to shout about this summer, screening all the England Women’s Euro 2022 games for free.

The offer, at the cinema in Westquay, includes the Lionesses sold out clash with Northern Ireland at St Mary's on Friday July 15.

Kicking off on Wednesday July 6 at 8pm at Old Trafford, Manchester, fans will be able to get in on the action and watch the game on the big screen by booking online.

The Lionesses go into the summer as one of the tournament’s favourites, opening their campaign against Austria on the first day of the Euros. England then face Norway on Monday July 11 before rounding off their group in Southampton.

England will face stiff competition from the likes of France and Spain as they battle it out to be crowned European champions, a feat they have never before achieved.

The 2017 Euros saw the England team enjoy its best ever finish, reaching the semi-finals before falling to a 3-0 defeat to the Dutch. However, on home turf this year, England’s women will be hoping they can go one step further this time and make it all the way to the final at Wembley on July 31.

Mark Barlow, UK General Manager of Showcase Cinemas, said: “We can’t wait for the 2022 Euros to finally kick-off. England have a real chance this year and we’re hopeful the team can go all the way.

“Whilst the Euros will be played in stadiums across the country, we know not every fan will be able to attend the matches. That’s why we’ve decided to offer guests the chance to see every kick and watch all the action for free in the comfort of our cinemas.”

Live sport at Showcase is an immersive experience, so grab family, friends and some popcorn and enjoy!

Should England qualify from their group, the cinema chain will continue to show their knockout round matches, until they get knocked out. The final will also be shown, irrespective of whether England make it.
