A former member of WODYS (Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Youth Society) has landed his West End debut in a popular musical. 

Harry Jobson, age 21, will be appearing in Back to the Future the musical at the Adelphi Theatre, London from Wednesday, August 17 as Biff Tannen.

The performer, originally from Kempsey, is delighted to be making his professional debut on a London stage. 

He said, “I absolutely loved my time in WODYS - I learned so much and made some wonderful friends. I owe a lot to Director Dave Humphries, Musical Director Hattie Amos, and to Rachel Price and Katie McNamee the choreographers.

"They taught me so much and gave me so many opportunities.

“Studying through the pandemic was not easy but I really enjoy living in London.

"I am so excited to be rehearsing for Back to the Future and appearing in such a fabulous production.”

Harry gained his first experience of acting as a member of WODYS where he took part in Footloose, Annie and Les Miserables (School Edition).

He had principal roles as The Man in Whistle Down the Wind, Adam Pontepee in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Corey Senior in Back to the 80s.

The former pupil of Kempsey Primary and Hanley Castle High School, Harry was a member of WODYS for six years, before going to Urdang in 2019 for three years, where he took lead roles as The Father in Children of Eden and Officer Lockstock in Urinetown.

Back to the Future won the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and is based on the 1985 film.
