A WEATHER warning has been issued for Herefordshire as thunderstorms approach.
The Met Office yellow warning for thunderstorms is set to come into force at 2pm today (September 5) and will remain in force until 2am tomorrow morning.
Forecasters at the Met Office said thunderstorms are likely to develop across parts of southwest England and Wales this afternoon, becoming more organised through the evening.
"Lines of thunderstorms are expected to then move north during the early hours of Tuesday and gradually weaken as they clear into northern England before dawn," the Met Office said.
Some places will escape the storms, seeing little or no rainfall, but others may see torrential rain, with 20-30 mm falling in one hour and 50-80 mm possible in three hours.
Hail, gusty winds, and lightening are also possible throughout this evening.
