BROMYARD'S hopes of a play-off place were dashed last Saturday when the succumbed 21-16 at home to Birmingham Civil Service.
An early Ben Collins penalty was added to by an opportunistic try by Tom Albert who touched down following a period of concerted pressure by the Bromyard pack.
Civil Service got themselves back to 8-7 before Collins slotted another penalty just before half time.
The visitors took the lead early in the second period with an interception try but in-form Albert bagged his brace to put Bromyard back in front.
Bromyard failed to hang on and it was Civil Service who snatched a late try and the points.
Bromyard entertain league newcomers Highley tomorrow.
