Angela Rippon CBE opens Deer Park Care Home

Deer Park Care Home in Ledbury celebrated its official opening on Friday 2nd September, just a few months after accepting their first residents into the purpose-built home on Martins Way.

Everyone at the home was thrilled to have Angela Rippon CBE; journalist, newsreader, documentary maker and presenter in attendance to unveil the commemorative plaque.

The event took place in the beautiful, landscaped gardens of the home where they welcomed residents and guests to attend the ceremony. After speeches by John Storey, CEO of Porthaven care homes and a moving address by Angela, guests were treated to a delicious lunch cooked by the talented in-house chef team, whilst being serenaded by Sophistication Strings.

Home Manager Marie Wood said: “I was thrilled to welcome guests to our official opening here at Deer Park. I am so proud of our fantastic team who are dedicated to the care, comfort, and dignity of every single individual. It was wonderful to welcome relatives and friends of our residents, as well as members of our local community. We are really looking forward to hosting many future events here and welcome you to come and look around our beautiful home.”

The professional team of staff at Deer Park offer 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a spacious and elegant home with special emphasis on promoting dignity, respect and independence.
