MILLIONAIRE Alfie Best has promised that new homeowners at his Herefordshire park home site will get free gas and electric for two years to help them with increasing bills.

Saltmarsh residential park is a park home site near Bromyard and the owners of the estate Wyldecrest Parks want to help its residents.

In the last few weeks people across the UK have seen their energy bills increase with various suppliers.

To help with these challenging times and make the move to buying a park home easier, Wyldecrest Parks is offering to pay gas and electric bills for all new residents for the next two years.

Earlier in August Wyldecrest Parks chairman Alfie Best had started an online petition on the behalf of all park home residents.

The petition was to get a confirmation from the Government that all residential park home residents will be eligible for the £400 grant.

Alfie Best said: “The government had promised that every household in the UK will get a £400 energy bill discount and we need confirmation that will also be extended to all Park Home Residents as well.

“The petition exceeded 11,500 signatures and the government confirmed that further funding will be available to provide equivalent support of £400 for energy bills for residents of park homes.

“I would now like to offer all my new residents the assurance that we will pay their electric and gas bills for the next two years from the day they move in.

“Park home living is the best way for a growing number of people who would like to live in modern but manageable houses and enjoy the perks of being part of a healthy community.”

The homes are a 12-month fully residential parks with their own postal address, and they should not be mistaken for holiday parks.

Park home estates boast of strong communities which provide a significant social capital for their residents.

“We hope that this offer of free gas and electric for two years will be able to ease these fears and make the move to your new park home as stress-free as possible,” said the spokesperson.
