FOUR pharmacies will be open on Christmas Day for those who need access to medication in Herefordshire

Opening times for community pharmacies over the festive period have been announced, and the four pharmacies will all be open for a few hours on Sunday (December 25).

Benjamins Pharmacy at Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital, Chandos Pharmacy in Hereford's St Owen Street, Rowlands Pharmacy in Eastholme Avenue, Belmont, and Westfield Walk Pharmacy in Leominster will be open on Christmas Day.

The NHS says NHS 111 will be able to assess anyone needing urgent care and, if they should need it, book a time slot at an accident and emergency department. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Here are the bank holiday opening hours for pharmacies in Herefordshire on December 25, 26 and 27 and January 2.

  • Chandos Pharmacy, St Owen Street, Hereford: 6pm until 7pm
