A LORRY and car have crashed outside Tesco in Hereford city centre, partially blocking the major road.

Victoria Street, the A49 between the Steels roundabout and Greyfriars Bridge, was left partially blocked after the crash.

A picture from the scene shows an articulated lorry which had T-boned a red car.

The crash happened at around 2pm on Thursday (January 5) outside Bewell Street Tesco, on the southbound side of the road.

Traffic website Inrix says traffic has now returned to normal, with the crash cleared.

Inrix said police were en route.

It has also said there is the usual slow traffic on Edgar Street, Belmont Road, Greyfriars Bridge and Whitecross Road in Hereford.
