THE air ambulance has taken a biker to hospital after a crash with a car left him with a "significant injury".

Firefighters from Tenbury Fire Station said they had been called to the B4203 at Upper Sapey, between Bromyard and Great Witley.

Sharing a picture of the Midlands Air Ambulance which had landed at the scene, a spokesperson said the crash was between a car and a motorcycle.


On arrival, crews were tasked with making the vehicles safe while ambulance crews treated to the motorcyclist.

Firefighters said he was conscious but had suffered a significant injury to his right leg.

Privacy screens were put up by the fire crew while treatment was being given.


The crew then helped to carry the motorcyclist tothe air ambulance.

"We wish him a speedy recovery," they said.

West Mercia Police was also in attendance and the road was closed after the crash on Sunday (January 8).
