ONE of Herefordshire's best kept secrets is The Orchard at Munsley.
We spoke to Jayne Pritchard about her beautiful business.
What is your name? Jayne Pritchard
What is the name of your business? The Orchard at Munsley
Are you the owner? Yes
Where is the Orchard? Next door to Munsley Church, HR8 2SQ, 5 miles from Ledbury.
How long has the orchard been operating? Since September 2019.
What facilities are there at Munsley? There is a church and great accommodation, pubs and walks. Not far from the beautiful market town of Ledbury.
Why should people choose The Orchard for a wedding? We only run 15 weddings a year between May-September which keeps us unique and a first timer for most guests. We are Herefordshire’s best kept secret! The Orchard changes with the seasons and couples are given flexibility to personalise it, making each wedding very individual for every couple. It has a relaxed feel, with plenty of photo opportunities, beautiful surroundings and the tipis give it that festival, party vibe. Couples can create an experience for their guests and have their wedding, their way. My husband and I got married at the venue 12 years ago, so it is a very special place to us and we love to see the space transformed.
Is it suitable for children? Yes there is plenty of green space for them to run around in. We do have a pond so children must be supervised by their parents.
What is Herefordshire like as a county to operate in? It is a beautiful County with lots of diverse, talented businesses and artisan food and drink companies. Visitors still confuse Herefordshire with Hertfordshire so we need to continue shouting about our County, to put it firmly on the map as a desirable destination. There are a lot of rural areas with limited transport which can be an issue, especially when people expect Ubers to be available everywhere.
