MEMORIES of Edgar Street in Hereford are this week's nostalgia pictures selection.

Edgar Street, Hereford was named after King Edgar [the Peaceful] 944 to 975 and has been a fixture in the city ever since.

A fabulous Men's Sprint Race was held there in 1897 and the road was widened in the mid 1960s to allow access for Greyfriars Bridge.

These photographs are all taken from the Facebook group Hereford / Herefordshire Remembered and reproduced here with their kind permission.
