Hellens Garden Festival in 2023 promises to be a transformative affair.

The theme is ‘Transformation’ and it takes place on Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11.

A summer bounty of the sustainable and the eclectic, crafted and grown, held in the glorious gardens and grounds of Hellens Manor. A wonderful day out for all the family.

Preparations are underway for this year's Hellens Garden Festival - a wonderful two day celebration at Hellens, Much Marcle, Ledbury.

The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Transformation’ for people, plants and the planet.

We work hard to create an atmosphere that is inclusive and inspiring, a space for sharing ideas, creative collaboration and catalysing change for a better, more sustainable world.

The gardens and meadows of Hellens Manor, set in glorious Herefordshire countryside, will be filled with practical and creative demonstrations, inspiring talks, exquisite flowers and plants, skilled artists and craftspeople, delicious local food and drink, live music, a sculpture trail and much more.

Some of our engaging and inspiring talks this year include ‘HGF Gardeners’ Question Time’ and ‘Grow your Own’ with garden guru John Cunningham, Looby Macnamara speaking about Cultural Emergence, Liz Knight and the Ground Elder Appreciation Society, and Friends of the Lower Wye.

New for this year will be The Egg Space! An Eco, Green and Growing space, created in memory of Hannah Genders, a great friend to Hellens and Hellens Garden Festival, which will feature workshops, discussion and singing.

Over the last 2 months we have run a wonderful project with Much Marcle Primary School in the lead up to the festival. Working with KS3 children, we have created a colourful vegetable and flower garden at the school, using recycled materials.

Many vegetables, herbs and flowers have been planted in plastic bottles, DIY pallet planters and it's been a joy to work with such knowledgeable budding young gardeners.

The children will be joining us at Hellens in May to create some wonderful fun, growing décor for the festival.

Hellens is also excited to be promoting a new local bus service from Ross on Wye to Ledbury, the Daffodil line, and we hope as many people as possible will use this new service to get to and from the festival.

All profits from the event are donated to St Michaels Hospice and Back to the Wild CIC.
