Mowing equipment has been stolen during a break-in at Ledbury Cemetery.
The cemetery was broken into on Wednesday night (May 31) with a number of items taken.
A spokesperson for Ledbury Town Council said the theft would have an impact on council services.
“Our groundsmen have been working extremely hard to get the cemetery to a satisfactory state, but this theft will now have an impact on the mowing and strimming in the cemetery,” they said.
“Whilst Ledbury Town Council is taking measures to rectify this situation and acquire replacement equipment as soon as possible, we would kindly ask that you bear with us in these unfortunate circumstances.”
The council is asking that anyone who saw anyone in the cemetery late on Wednesday night or in the early hours of Thursday morning contact the town clerk at clerk@ledburytowncouncil.gov.uk or 01531 632306.
