UPDATE 7.35am: The road has now reopened.

A LORRY crash has closed a busy Herefordshire main road this morning.

The A4103 Hereford to Worcester road is closed to the Hereford side of Fromes Hill, near the Volvo garage, a police spokesperson said.

The lorry has left the road due to flooding and mud, the spokesperson said.

The road will be closed for some time while the vehicle is removed and the road cleaned. Please use another route.

Floods hit roads across the county yesterday (October 20), with a number of roads impassable as waters rose.

Further rain has lashed Herefordshire overnight, with rivers and streams bursting their banks.

A flood warning is in force for the river Teme at Leintwardine and Walford this morning.

Flood alerts are in force for the Arrow, Frome, Leadon, Lugg, and Wye.
