AN ATTACKER who damaged a Land Rover has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Daniel Fewtrell appeared before magistrates for sentencing in January after entering guilty pleas to one count of assault by beating and one count of causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 to magistrates at an earlier hearing.

The court heard from prosecutor Angla Hallan that Fewtrell, of The Homend, Ledbury, had assaulted a person by beating them in an incident in Leamington Spa in Warwickshire on November 18.

The 50-year-old had also intentionally or recklessly damaged a black Land Rover and plant pots belonging to a second person in Leamington Spa on November 19, magistrates in Coventry were told.

Fewtrell was handed a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135, but no compensation was ordered to be paid as he has reconciled with the victims.
