AN OSWESTRY takeaway business is teaming up with a national children’s charity to celebrate its opening – by giving away free pizza.

Caprinos Pizza, which has taken over the former Subway Premises in Willow Street, will be offering free pizzas to walk-in customers between 5pm and 6pm today (Wednesday, April 17).

The offer is in conjunction with Lia’s Wings, a national charity that ensures babies and critically ill children can access specialist treatment and care, wherever they are in the UK.

In addition, further opening offers include 50 per cent off on Wednesday and Thursday (April 18) and 25 per cent off orders between April 19 and 21.

Caprinos directors Khalil Rehman and Khalil Gul said: "As directors of Caprinos Pizza, we are honoured to be in partnership with Lia's Wings.

“Our collaboration launched in March 2022, and since then, it has been a journey filled with pride and purpose.

“Lia's Wings' dedication to providing essential air transfers for children's healthcare aligns perfectly with our values of compassion and community support.

“Together, we've achieved remarkable milestones, yet our hearts are set on accomplishing even more in the months ahead.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible team at Lia's Wings for their unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need.

“Caprinos is working hard to raise funds for Lia’s Wings so that they can help more families.

“We are planning lots of fun opportunities for our customers and staff to get involved in this partnership.

A Lia’s Wings spokesman added: “Often the only way children can access specialist treatment or care is to travel between hospitals by aeroplane – Lia’s Wings is the only charity in the UK that provides this unique service.

“Their air transfers provide lifechanging outcomes for children, including children being discharged from long hospital stays, overcoming diseases like cancer, and receiving vital diagnosis which enables families to gain extra support.

“Caprinos offers Italian American cuisine and has menu items suitable for adults, children, and to share with family and friends.
