Maggie said: "Newent Golf Club is a picturesque and friendly, family and PGA Professional owned and run 9 hole pay and play course with guest accommodation located 1 mile from Newent.

" It is known for it’s great condition and was opened in 1994, so this year is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

"The course consists of 6 par 4's, 3 par 3's, 23 bunkers, mature trees and water on the 3rd, all of this makes for a challenging round for every level of golfer."

Prices are very competitive at Newent Golf Club:

9 holes is £12.00 or 18 holes is £19.00 and they are very rarely closed due to rain.

Please call to book a tee time.

Inside the clubhouse there is a small pro shop where they offer drinks and bacon rolls and a soon to be opened golf simulator.

Please note you cannot just turn up to play.

Everyone must book a tee time.

Everyone must have their own set of clubs. Sorry no beginners.

If you’re playing 18 holes, you will still need to pop in after 9 holes and be slotted back in for the second 9 and you may have to wait a few minutes.

The Lodges The lodges are grouped around a private

courtyard and the en-suite accommodation consists

of 8 doubles and 2 twin bedded rooms.

All rooms are en-suite, have heated towel rails, free wi-fi and ample free parking is located 50 yards away.

There are tea/coffee making facilities in your room and a silent chiller in case you want to bring anything with you.
