The McDonald's in the Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton was the best-ranked store in all the areas, with a rating of 3.9/5.

One positive review said: "The manager was very nice and helpful to especially the elderly! My food was crisp and fresh and my chips were better than usual."

Another shared: "The food came quickly, correct and it was hot, maybe too hot. Quick service and a great environment in store made this a pleasant experience."

Worthing's only McDonald's store ranked in the second place on the list with a score of 3.7/5.

One person wrote: "The only good McDonald's left in the UK? Staff here are always friendly and polite, the food is always hot and you never have to wait too long."

Not everyone was so happy though, as one person posted: "Every single time I order, they have to forget about at least one product :)) the food is fine though."

The McDonald's at the Arndale Centre in Eastbourne was the third highest ranked on the list, with a score of 3.6/5.

One person wrote: "It's the same tasty Macdonalds food we all enjoy, but for once the staff is really friendly and make you feel really welcome. It's my go to place even if just for coffee. :)"

A more mixed review shared: "Quite shocking how slow the service is here...never seen so many staff do very little. The place was packed yet one person packing and serving food."

Staying in Brighton, the McDonald's on Western Road got a fairly solid score with 3.5/5.

The McDonald's located inside the Asda Brighton Hollingbury Superstore was the worst rated of the eight McDonald's in Brighton, Eastbourne and Worthing with a score of 2.9/5.

One reviewer posted: "Was really slow and they got our order wrong, took forever to get it sorted too. Didn't realise fast food was so slow."

Some were still happy with the store, with one person writing: "Chips were hot and crispy and milkshake was good. Service overall was very fast and friendly."
