A SCHOOL in Ledbury is "delighted" after its pupils received a string of top grades in their GCSEs.
More than 10 per cent of the results achieved by pupils at John Masefield High School were at the top grades 8 or 9.
In core subjects, English, maths and sciences, more than 70 per cent of entries were at grade 4 or above.
The school said a mix of subjects had a particularly strong year, including German, food and nutrition, chemistry and physics, in which more than a quarter of students achieved grades 7, 8 or 9.

Some of the highest performers included Hosanna Taylor-Black, who achieved six 9s and three 8s and Meryl Phillips, who achieved five 9s and three 8s.
The school also highlighted Daisy Ruddick, who received two 9s, six 8s and three 7s, Ben Wilson, who received two 9s, five 8s and one 7 and Bella Hughes, who achieved two 9s, four 8s and two 7s.
