STAFF at John Masefield High School were 'delighted' and 'proud' about their students high-scoring English Baccalaureate (Ebbac) results.
The Ledbury school boasted the highest percentage of pupils achieving the Ebacc with 9-4 passes in Herefordshire, with 40.9 per cent according to the Department for Education.
The school also finished second in the county in the percentage of pupils achieving the Ebacc with 9-5 passes, after St Mary's RC High School.

St Mary's saw 28.9 per cent pass with grades 9-5, while John Masefield came second with 28.2 percent.
Dr John Holmes, headteacher at JMHS is proud of his students' results.
He said: "We are very proud that our students achieved so well across a range of subjects.
"They worked extremely hard, and their success was very well deserved. We are delighted to see their efforts reflected in these figures."
The Department for Education published its latest data, showing the average attainment 8 score per pupil, the percentage of pupils achieving standard 9-4 passes in English and maths, and the percentage of pupils achieving strong passes 9-5 in English and maths.
The data also shows the percentage of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate (Ebacc) with 9-4 and 9-5 passes, and the percentage of pupils achieving Level 2 threshold including standard passes 9-4 in both English and maths GCSEs.
The attainment 8 score measures a student's average grade across eight subjects, including English and maths.
The higher the score, the better the student's performance.
