A DEDICATED member of a city shop team is retiring after 33 years in the job.
Barrie Price, 65, has retired from Annetts Fine Furniture after more than three decades of service.
Mr Price began working at the long‑established Hereford business in the early 1990s.
The company itself has been part of the community for a century, dating back to 1924, when it first opened a small shop in the heart of the city, along with another in Abergavenny.

Before joining the furniture trade, Mr Price was a keen footballer. He played for Pegasus and in his younger years, was an apprentice at Coventry Football Club.
Assistant manager Richard Pugh, who has worked alongside Mr Price for 27 years, said: “Barrie will be hugely missed.
"He’s been a constant presence here for so long bringing all the laughs.
"Customers love him and staff rely on him.
"He’s one of those people who always brings a smile to work and it just won’t be the same without him.”
Colleagues say Mr Price is looking forward to spending more time with his family and enjoying his hobbies, including fishing and travelling away on holiday's.
