An urgent call has been made for new committee members to keep Ledbury Community Hall running.

The hall which hosts keep fit/yoga, socials, fundraising, Bridge, short mat bowls and dance classes, is run by the Ledbury Community Association whose members are volunteers with some serving as trustees.

All current members are standing down and replacements are required as 'the hall cannot run without a committee'.

Roles available include chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer, and new trustees.

A spokesperson said: "Committee meetings are only about three per year and normally take only an hour... it really isn't much of your time.

"Becoming a member or trustee is also a great way to have an input into how you would like your community hall to be used and run.

"Let's get as many people on board as we can, in order to keep this vital asset to our town!"

Outgoing members will be on hand to help transition into the role and answer any questions.

Anyone who is interested is urged to attend the AGM on Thursday, February 5 at 7pm at the hall on Lawnside Road.
