A LOCAL garage has been featured on national news - recognised as the second cheapest fuel station in the UK.

Maple Leaf in Bromyard was shown on Sky News on April 8.

The team said they were incredibly proud of their TV time and thanked customers for all their support.

Adding: " With everything going on in the world, especially the ongoing impact of the war and rising fuel costs we know how tough things have become for everyone. Prices have been unpredictable, and the pressure across the industry is real. But despite all of this, we’ve been working non-stop behind the scenes to keep our prices as low as possible."

The garage - known as Top Garage to locals - only opened on February 7 following a major refurbishment and expansion.

As the Hereford Times reported at the time, the owners were committed to giving value for money prices at the pumps and in their adjacent store. They offer a large selection of wines, ciders, beers in the 'beer cave' as well as general groceries, frozen and chilled goods and coffee.
