OVER £8,000 has been raised in memory of a beloved father, biker, runner, and mason, who died after a crash.

Thousands have been raised for the family of 36-year-old biker Liam Curtis-Moore, who died in hospital on June 16 after a multiple-vehicle crash on the B4349 near Clehonger.

Tributes have poured in for the dad of five since his death, including from the Taurus Chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association, who announced that over £8,000 has now been raised for his wife, Jennifer, and their children.

"When we first set the page up, we had no idea how many people would be touched by Liam’s story or how much support there would be," a spokesperson for the group said.

"The response has been nothing short of incredible.

"Every donation, every message and every share is a testament to the man Liam was."

Mr Curtis-Moore has been described as a "devoted" father, a loving husband, and a "true gentle giant" who possessed a quiet voice, quick wit, and "a heart full of kindness and compassion."

"The generosity shown by family, friends, the biking community, the Masonic family, work colleagues, runners and complete strangers has been overwhelming," the spokesperson added.

"In the darkest of times, you have all reminded us what community, kindness and humanity look like.

"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

"Whilst no amount of money will ever bring Liam back or take away the pain Jennifer and the children are experiencing, we hope this incredible outpouring of support shows them just how loved Liam was and that they are not facing this journey alone."

Mr Curtis-Moore worked as a bus driver for the Kington-based company Sargeants, who last week paid tribute to him, describing him as a dependable and respected member of the team.

"Liam was more than a colleague – he was a friend, a team player, and a much-loved part of the Sargeants' family," a spokesperson said.

"Since joining us in 2023 as a trainee bus driver, Liam brought dedication, kindness and a genuine passion for his work.
