A SPECIAL tribute is being planned in memory of a Bromyard woman who was murdered in her home.

The family of Ann Marie Green, who died on September 27, are calling on bikers to join a funeral procession on Wednesday, July 8, to honour her life.

Ms Green’s daughter, Karen Bassett, and her granddaughter have asked the biker community to help give her a "memorable send-off."

Ms Green was killed by her on-and-off partner, Julian Thomas, 55, at her home on Apple Tree Close.

He was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of 18 years.

Bikers are invited to gather at 1.45pm on Tenbury Lane to accompany Ms Green on her final journey.

Ms Green’s daughter has requested that mourners wear a splash of red or purple, her favourite colours.

The procession will travel to Langstone Vale Crematorium in Chepstow.

Ms Bassett previously described her mother as the "heart" of the family who deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She and her brother said in a tribute: "There are no words strong enough to describe the shock, devastation, and heartbreak we are living through.

"Our world has been shattered."
