LEDBURY Swifts travelled the short distance to play Ross Juniors in league match.
The game was a real battle for Ledbury who had to dig deep to get any result from the match.
As the first-half neared it’s conclusion a goalless first half looked to be on the cards but a dangerous looking cross delivered by Tom Webb found the out stretched boot of Jake Robson who sent Ledbury into a 1-0 half-time lead.
The second-half was again a bit of a struggle for Ledbury, although they played slightly better.
Their perseverance payed off when Tom Webbs shot was deflected into the Ross net by the Ross defender but Webbs’ celebrations left no doubt in any ones minds who's goal it was.
With only seconds remaining Ross scored a late consolation goal, thus ensuring a tense last few seconds.
The win for Ledbury keeps them in third spot, two points behind the leaders with a game in hand.
On Sunday, third-placed Ledbury entertain second placed Pegasus in what sures to be a enthralling game (ko 2pm).
