LEDBURY Swifts Rovers fine start to the season suffered a setback, with a 3-1 defeat at home to Hinton.
At the start of the game, Ledbury were unbeaten, and Hinton had secured victories in every game on their travels, yet neither side were able to impose themselves on the contest in the early minutes.
The visitors though began to put significant pressure on the hosts and struck midway through the first-half from a well-worked goal.
Hinton were now on top, and but for a fine save from Liam Bowers, and wasted chances by the visitors including two efforts rebounding off the post, Hinton failed to capitalise on their superiority.
Hinton started the second-half brightly and two quick goals ensured a deserved lead.
Ledbury pushed hard to get back in the match, and a late consolation from Kieran Loveridge ensured a tense last few minutes, but the away side held on for a deserved victory.
