SECOND-placed Ledbury entertained bottom of the table Hinton on Sunday but the gap between top and bottom did not reflect on the game as Hinton put in a battling performance.

The only goal of the first-half fell to Craig Pierce who sent Swifts into a 1-0 half-time lead.

Although Ledbury didn’t play well they did however miss many chances and hit the woodwork on several occasions during the contest.

Ledbury did pay for their many missed chances when Hinton scored a deserved equaliser.

With time running out for Swifts, Ledbury were forced to make changes and after only being on the pitch for five minutes Harvey Moss saved the day for Ledbury when he broke away from the Hinton defence and calmly slotted home the winning goal.

With results going Ledbury’s way the win was good enough to send Ledbury to the top of the table.

Sunday, Ledbury travel to play second-placed Westfields.
