LEDBURY hosted Westfield Colts in what was expected to be a difficult match against a top-of-the-table side. The visitors started brightly and scored their first goal after five minutes, adding another after 15 minutes. Ledbury tried to break down the Westfield defence, with Charlie White and Lewis Potter persistently attacking. However, the score was 2-0 to Westfields at half-time. The second-half started with Ledbury trying to get a goal back, but unfortunately for them Westfields got their third goal just five minutes into the second-half. Defenders Alex Berry and Dion Jenkins defended well to try and prevent further goals. Ledbury didn’t give up playing against a well-organised Westfields team, but the visitors went on to score another two goals making the final score 5-0 to Westfields.
Dion Jenkins was player-of-the-match. Ledbury travel to Gorsley for a mid-table clash this week.
