LEDBURY travelled to Hereford to play FC Phoenix on Sunday, a game played on a very heavy pitch.
The first-half was an even affair with both defences on top and it was no surprise when the opening period finished goalless.
During an action-packed second-half Ledbury had the better chances, hitting the woodwork on two occasions and having one shot cleared off the line.
Eventually with only 15 minutes remaining, the deadlock was finally broken when Dan Batty headed home from a Swifts corner giving Ledbury a vital win and three valuable points.
After last weekend’s win, Ledbury now go into the Christmas break four points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand and looking in a healthy position for success during the second half of the league campaign.
