THE venue for this match was switched to Gorsley due to the Ross Road pitch being flooded. The muddy conditions made it difficult for both sides, but Ledbury started positively and Dan Reilly opened the scoring on 12 minutes, with captain Charlie White adding a second three minutes later. Ledbury continued to press forward, but the long kick of the Gorsley goalkeeper always posed a threat to a weakened Ledbury defence, due to three of the side’s regular defenders not playing in the fixture due to illness. Charlie Samwells added a third for Ledbury on 18 minutes, but Gorsley struck back almost immediately, scoring their first goal on 20 minutes. They then scored another goal on the stroke of half-time to make the score 3-2.

The second-half started with Ledbury trying to extend their lead, and Gorsley trying to even up the scoreline.

Both sides played good attacking football throughout the match. Ledbury’s goalkeeper, Ben Read, was taken off injured midway through the half, with Dan Reilly putting on the shirt and gloves. Ledbury then had a goal disallowed, and five minutes later Gorseley equalised with only eight minutes remaining. Ledbury tried to regain the lead, and were unlucky not to do so, with the final score a 3-3 draw. Player-of-the-match went to Ledbury Swift Wanderers captain Charlie White.
