BARTESTREE BULLS u11s 1, LEDBURY SWIFTS u11s 7.

LEDBURY Swifts travelled to Bartestree on Sunday and recorded a comfortable win against a battling Bulls team.

Swifts were quick to get off the mark when Harvey Moss hit the post and Craig Pierce was quickest to react as he fired in the rebound to make it 1-0.

Shortly afterwards a Tom Trigg back heel put through Tom Webb who sent Ledbury into a 2-0 half-time lead.

Ledbury were awarded a corner early on in the second-half which was taken by Dan Batty and his well-delivered cross led to Trigg heading home from just inside the box, making it 3-0 to Ledbury.

Webb scored his second of the day before a long Rory Atkins goal-kick found Jake Robson who finished well to make it 5-0.

Bulls kept battling and scored a well-deserved goal to make it 5-1 before a bullet shot from Moss found the top corner of the net.

Ledbury’s team including Coleman, Hammond, Robinson and James, worked tirelessly all game.

But the highlight of the day was birthday boy Tom Webb completing his hat-trick and giving Ledbury an impressive victory.

On Sunday, Ledbury are at home to Leominster in the semi-final of the Tony Cole Cup (ko 2pm), all support will be gratefully received.
