LEDBURY Swifts Rovers travelled to league leaders Pegasus Juniors and suffered a 6-2 defeat.

In a very even opening exchange there were few chances for either side, with both defences on top.

It was the home side who struck first midway through the first-half through an impressive goal.

Ledbury seemed shell-shocked and two defensive errors and a well-worked corner ensured the hosts had a significant advantage at the break.

Pegasus again started the second-half brightly and the fifth arrived quickly, but this seemed to galvanise Ledbury and they began to show great spirit.

Ledbury started to put Pegasus under pressure and this was rewarded with an own goal, and a neat Kieran Slatter header.

The visitors pushed hard to gain further consolation, but failed to find a breakthrough against a stubborn defence, and it was Pegasus who scored a further goal to cap the victory.
