IT was a fantastic weekend of results all round for Ledbury Town Football Club’s various teams, with both the first and reserve sides celebrating victories.
The firsts stormed to a second consecutive 5-0 success in the West Midlands Regional League Division Two, while the Reserves also recorded a welldeserved 1-0 win. The club’s first team were a goal up at halftime during a thrilling local derby against Malvern Rangers, with Dan Herbert finding the target.
Herbert then went on to score again in the second-half, with prolific striker Jamie Welch grabbing another two and Scott Roberts also getting on the scoresheet. Meanwhile, Andy Matthews grabbed the winner for the reserves’ victory.
The first team retained their position in the top five of the league table following this fourth win of the season, and travel to Rowley Park tomorrow against Riverway (3pm) as they continue their quest for further progress.
