I WAS pleased that the Kiln had such a lively and well-attended launch event in Worcester last week.

The Kiln is able to provide hot desking space and services for over 60 people and will allow professionals to share their ideas and network with other like-minded people. By boosting the number of businesses that we create in Worcestershire, these co-working spaces are helping to create economic growth and jobs, while also allowing businesses to gain the support they need to flourish.

On top of this, Worcestershire’s growing entrepreneurial networks and infrastructure is helping to provide people with a more flexible way of working. We know from the early success of The Kiln 0.5 and BetaDen that there is a large appetite from the local business community for collaborative working, and the co-working spaces are also helping to attract businesses from outside of the county.

Worcestershire LEP is helping to grow the number of opportunities that are available to the county’s start-ups, freelancers and small businesses. New co-working spaces such as The Kiln will help these groups to be more innovative and creative and ultimately thrive.

We at the Worcestershire LEP are delighted to have invested a total of £195,000 into the new building via the Government’s Local Growth Fund, we are pleased that The Kiln also received £400,000 investment from Worcester City Council.

I would encourage all interested entrepreneurs to enquire and find out more information about setting up their business at The Kiln by visiting website – thekiln.co – or calling 01905 612260

For established businesses that want the opportunity to network with other creative and entrepreneurial companies, I would encourage you to attend next week’s WINN Wednesday ‘Show me the Money’ event.
