This FSB Area is once again proud to be part of the annual Worcestershire Festival of Business. This coming Friday we look forward to meeting both our existing members – and other local small businesses – on our exhibition stand at the event.

It’s taking place from 7.30am-2.30pm at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich, providing a great opportunity for local businesses to network, showcase their products and services and to explore commercial opportunities with other exhibitors and visitors. It’s also free to attend, so is something of a bargain and a no-brainer in terms of value-for-money.

We will of course take the opportunity to showcase the many, tangible benefits of FSB membership. We will also touch base with local business owners to discuss the issues, opportunities and challenges that they are facing in these extraordinarily uncertain times.

After all, it is now more important than ever for the small business community to pull together. Earlier this week, Government statistics showed that the economy remains stymied, with uncertainty holding back small businesses’ plans to grow and take on new staff.

That’s why we are calling for an Emergency Brexit Budget. One that will take the heat off employers and provide much-needed support our high streets. We also want to see a pro-business Brexit deal and an end to the uncertainty and political games that we have all had to endure for the last three years.

Business owners – the only real wealth creators in the economy – are sick to the back teeth of parliamentary posturing.

The Worcestershire Festival of Business will be a celebration of local, entrepreneurial success. It’s just a shame that in many cases these successes have been achieved in spite of, rather than with the help of, recent national Government endeavours.
