LEDBURY people will wake to find they have a new mayor and deputy mayor on Friday morning.
The annual town council meeting, which is set to take place in the Market House, at 7.30pm on Thursday May 8, is traditionally called "Mayor Making", because that is when a new mayor is elected for the year ahead.
The mayor for the year 2013/2014 has been Coun Terry Widdows.
As is traditional, he will address fellow councillors to give his thoughts on the year that has been, and he will also be the first to place the chain of office on the shoulders of the newly-elected mayor, for the council year 2014/2015.
A new deputy mayor will also be elected.
The deputy mayor for the past year has been Coun Bob Barnes.
