LEDBURY'S MP, Bill Wiggin, says falling unemployment in his North Herefordshire constituency is "brilliant news".
Latest figures released by the Office of National Statistics this week show the number of unemployed claimants in North Herefordshire, in September 2014, was 481 - a fall of 28 from August 2014 and of 425 compared with September 2013.
Bill Wiggin MP said: βIt is brilliant news for all in North Herefordshire that unemployment is continuing to come down.
"This means more people are securing much needed jobs and will discover the strength and stability that employment brings."
He added; "As well as this good news locally I am pleased to report that total weekly pay in August 2014 was up by 0.8 per cent over the year.
"I hope next month to be able to offer further good news, as we still have 481 residents who need a job.β
