A CALL has gone out for more public involvement in Ledbury's Christmas Lights campaign.
The Town Council has agreed that, this year, "any expenditure exceeding budget limits" should be "met by external sources".
This is likely to mean community and trader fund-raising.
Speaking on the subject of the Christmas Lights, at a a recent town council meeting, Cllr Martin Eager, chairman of the environment and leisure committee, said: "All the work continues to be done by local councillors, and some of the work will have to be transferred over to other people as well."
