THE talent of the young generation will commemorate the sacrifices of an older generation, during the 1916 Commemoration events in Ledbury.
John Masefield High School students will take part in the commemoration, on Armed Forces Day, June 25.
A school spokesman said: "A fantastic day has been planned by the committee organisers which will culminate in a centenary fundraising concert to be held at St Michael's Church where our students will be giving readings and the John Masefield High School Chamber Choir will be singing.
"There will be a selection of poetry, prose and art on display in the church from JMHS students following a series of competitions."
The spokesman added: "During a celebration assembly held on May 18, prizes were awarded to winners by members of the Commemoration Committee.
The winners were as follows:
*Year 8 poetry competition- Isobel Johnson, Edward Jenkins and Tobias Hamblin.
*Year 9 prose competition - Megan Macrae and Grace Bolton.
