POTATOES stolen from a farm at Newent could make anyone who eats them ill.
Gloucestershire police say that 12 yards worth of Crispin potatoes were stolen from a field by Foley Road over two nights. The thefts were reported on Friday, August 5.
Police say the potatoes have recently been sprayed with a chemical, which means they could be harmful to eat unless left for another three weeks.
Anyone with information on the potato theft should call police on 101 quoting incident 93 of August 5.
