THIS is term when students at the John Masefield High School set out on the yellow brick road to the magical land of Oz.
The classic musical, The Wizard of Oz, has been chosen as the annual school production, and auditions began this week.
A school spokesman said: "Everyone who auditions is given a part in the production, whether in the chorus or in a named role.
"Last year almost 100 students performed in the production of Singin' In The Rain, as well as playing in the accompanying orchestra, helping backstage and with the technical team.
"Pupils from all year groups will take part, and it is a brilliant way for pupils to get to know students of all ages really well as they will rehearse together from October until March. It is a fantastic experience for all involved."
