POLICE are investigating a collision in Ledbury in which a pedestrian suffered head and leg injuries.

The collision happened in Hereford Road shortly after 5.30pm on Friday and involved a green VW gold and the pedestrian, who is believed to have been crossing the road at the time.

The pedestrian, a man in his 90s, was taken to Hereford County Hospital but was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham for treatment.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw either the car or the man before the collision occurred.
