WHILE one notes and applauds the sacrifices made by my parents' generation, I would like to ask who is the youngest to remember VE day?
I certainly do, and had this confirmed by my father before his death in 1992.
Having been born on May 13, 1943, I can remember being carried down a road in Sunderland and going into a hospital to meet my new younger sister for the first time on May 8,1945.
Can anyone better this for an early memory?
