The giant Easter Egg raffle held on Easter Sunday at the Bromsberrow Community Shop, was won by local girl, Zoe Lloyd.
Her father Richard, had purchased the winning ticket number, 330, only the day before.
It was a double treat for Zoe, who will be celebrating her eight Birthday next week.
She said; "When the shop people telephoned us, I was so excited I screeched and couldn't believe it! its my birthday next week and this is a fantastic surprise. It is a lovely chocolate egg and I'm going to share it with my family and friends" The raffle was held to raise funds for the infrastructure of the shop, including floor covering for the "computer cafe" area, and a new vacuum cleaner.
Shop secretary, Jan Long said; "The raffle sales yielded more than £230 and we are grateful to the generosity of all those who bought tickets".
